God the Father
We believe in God the Father, Who is an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. He concerns Himself with mankind, hearing and answering prayer. He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is God, and He is God^s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and is the Word of God from the beginning. He preexisted with God in the form of God. He freely gave up His position and became incarnated as a man. Jesus Christ is the only Mediator between God and man.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is God. He is the third Person of the Trinity, equal to and coexisting with the Father and Son. The Holy Spirit: -is not an impersonal force, but a Person Whom we can come to know. -came forth to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement. -is the Agent of regeneration and sanctification for believers in Jesus Christ. -teaches, comforts, guides, convicts, and makes the presence of Jesus Christ real in believers. -is the Indwelling Presence in all who believe in Jesus Christ. -is the Giver of all Biblical gifts, and He continues to give them today.
ATONEMENT
We believe that the substitionary death of Jesus Christ for the atonement of our sins and His bodily ressurection provide the only ground for justification, forgiveness, and salvation for all who believe He is the Son of God.
AUTHORITY OF SCRIPTURE
We believe both Old and New Testaments are the Word of God.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God.
The Holy Scriptures are the complete revelation of His Will for the salvation of human beings and the final authority on all matters about which they speak.
We believe that God still does everything today that He did in His Word.
BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is an additional impartation which empowers, strengthens, comforts, and is accompanied by the manifestations of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the believer's life. These gifts are available to all who believe. The enduement with power transforms the believer to increasingly take on more of the nature of Christ. All Biblical gifts and the ministries of the Holy Spirit are vital in aiding the church in advancing the Kingdom of God.
ORIGINAL SIN
Humanity stems from two historic figures, Adam and Eve, who were created perfect, without knowledge of good or evil. They sinned and plunged themselves and all humanity into sin, suffering, guilt, and death.
Therefore, all human beings are sinners by nature and by choice.
We believe that God, through Jesus Christ, and by the Holy Spirit, regenerates those who repent of their sin and confess Jesus as their Lord.
RESURRECTION
Jesus Christ was resurrected from the dead and ascended into Heaven, where He now sits at the right hand of God the Father, forever making intercession for His people.
Jesus is the firstfruits of those raised from the dead, the promise of resurrection into eternity for all who believe in Him. When Jesus ascended to the Father, He sent the Holy Spirit to be with and empower His people.
He also gave the five-fold ministry offices to the church: Apostle, Prophet, Teacher, Pastor and Evangelist. These ministry gifts are expressions of Jesus given to mature His people and advance His Kingdom.
SALVATION
Our accepting and confessing Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God and asking Him to forgive our sins results in our spiritual rebirth and the regeneration of our human spirit as the Holy Spirit of God enters us.
We become a new creation, a new life that allows God to conform us to His nature. This conforming is a lifelong process following salvation, called sanctification.
SECOND COMING
We believe in the literal, physical, visible return of the Lord Jesus to the earth and the establishment of His Kingdom.
We believe in the resurrection of the dead and the final judgment.
The members of the Body of Christ (those who believe in Him, have accepted Him as Savior and Lord, and have repented for their sins) will enter into eternal blessing, spending eternity with Jesus Christ.
All others will be sentenced to eternal damnation. THE LORD'S SUPPER
We believe in the ordinance of the Lord's Supper in remembrance of Jesus and His crucifixion for the atonement of our sins.
Jesus was the true Passover Lamb and the fulfillment of the Feast of Passover.
The Lord's Supper is a holy ordinance and it testifies of our union with Him and the remission of our sins through His one-time sacrifice on the cross.
WATER BAPTISM
We believe that water baptism should be by immersion and should be consummated as soon as possible after salvation.
Water baptism serves as a personal and public statement of the believer's faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ on the believer's behalf.
It also serves as a symbolic example of our laying down our lives for the sake of the Kingdom.
